The ponytail is here!

Fi hates me putting anything in her hair, she rips it right out. Drives me crazy. So I have been letting her play with hair stuff. I have kept trying to put things in her hair and we make a game of it. Well this week she let me put a ponytail on the top of her head and she didn't rip it out! She loves looking in the mirror shaking her head to see the hair move back and forth. I think she like the hair out of her face and of course I like it too since I didn't want to cut her hair.

Merry Christmas! 2014

We consider this Christmas as Fiona's 1st Christmas. It was just the 3 of us this year and it was very nice. I am so glad Jon didn't have to work and we could spend the whole day as a family.

Our plan was when Fi woke up Jon would go get her, take her to our room, change her diaper and in the meantime I would be in the living room turning on the tree lights and getting my video camera ready. Well, she woke up, Jon had her in the room and I was by the tree waiting for her to come out to see her presents. However, all I heard was her crying. Complete melt down. I told Jon that she can't come our unless she is in a good mood. Well Abby came out and opened the door a little bit. Jon just put Fi on the floor and she was getting ready to throw herself on the floor to complete her tantrum. She then looked up and saw the tree lights and stopped crying instantly, then she walked out of the room and belined it for the rocking horse. Tears rolling down her face, she was babbling and pointing. She was petting the horse and looked at us and a grin spread across her face. It was the cutest thing ever and we got it all on video to show her when she gets older.

We were all exhausted. She was going from toy to toy all day long.

I made all new recipes for our dinner and oh my goodness, they all turned out great. Our dinner was DELICIOUS :)

We are looking forward to the New Year and are proud that we made it through 2014.

18 months!

We can't believe it's already been 18 months since our sweet Fi joined our family. We are excited for Christmas this week. We will have presents under the tree! I can't wait to cook on Christmas day and  to have both of us home all day.

Fi loves being outside, especially when it is cold. the cold doesn't bother her. Must be a red head thing :) She loves putting on her hat and jacket, even inside the house. She is improving her sign language every day. She watches Signing Time and I Love Lucy with me. She starts dancing when Ricky starts singing. She will definitely have an appreciation for clean fun humor. Lucille Ball is one person I would love to meet when I die :)

This has been a crazy year. Full of trials that have made us stronger. Fun times that have brought us closer. Our faith in our Father in heaven has grown as we follow his plan for us. I am grateful we have our Faith and that we have our foundation in Jesus Christ. I don't think we would have made it through this year without it.
Jon and I are both looking forward to the new year 2015!
We have made some goals and look forward to the new year. We are excited to see Fi turn 2. We have our trips for next year planned out...
