Merry Christmas!

For Christmas Eve we hung out with Jon's family. In the afternoon it started snowing and it didn't stop until around 8 or 9pm. So I was in charge of the food and I made chicken enchiladas and salad. By the time we had to leave we looked outside and it was snowing really hard and cars were sliding everywhere. So we took the food and walked over to his parents house. We didn't want our car getting stuck. Walking over to their house in the freakin snow I felt like "Little Women", I wanted to sing, "Here we come a bustling among...." I don't know the song, but you all know what I am talkin about.

Well while waiting for Jon's' dad and brother to get back from picking up the truck Jon was outside across the street waiting helping dig out a lady who slid off the road. He was out there for an hour! He is so sweet.

We went home around 12:30am and yes it started snowing again. It was absolutely beautiful. But it was a crap load of snow. We went to sleep and woke up on Christmas morning around 7 am. We went to Starbucks and got some hot peppermint coco:) Then we drove to ensign peak and walked up the mountain and enjoyed the view. We then drove to the Wasatch mountains to Solitude ski resort. It was so pretty.

It wasn't snowing anymore on Christmas day so we got my car washed:) And I bet you are wondering about us opening gifts:) Yes, we opened some at Jon's parents' house. And Jon and I bought gifts for each other but they were opened about 2 weeks ago hahahahaha. The only time since Jon and I have been married that we have actually opened presents on Christmas day was last year when the exchange students were with us, and we were forced to do it.:) We don't really care about opening gifts on Christmas...maybe that will change when we have kids.

Now I am cleaning and planning some yummy meals for when Jacob and his family come to visit next week. I am also exploring some cool spots in Utah to take them to:) I am TOTALLY EXCITED!!!! I can't wait to see them. I have been so lonely!

Nasty!!

Well, for the past few days I have not been feeling well. For those who don't know, my neck is pretty messed up so every now and again I have to go to a chiropractor and get it adjusted. Well it seems it has caught up with me again and it is pretty bad. When my neck gets like this it causes some pretty bad migraines. So I have had migraines and neck pain and nausea. I haven't slept in like 2 days which makes the head pains worse. Well two night ago it got really bad and around midnight I was just sitting on the floor in the bathroom waiting to vomit. I knew it would make me feel better but I just couldn't do it. Now, my sweet, loving husband wanted to help me so he put together some kind of concoction. He brought it to the bathroom and had me look at it and take a whiff. It was absolutely NASTY! It made me gag but not throw up. He went back into the kitchen and when he left I decided to put my finger in my mouth. This had never, never, never worked for me, but that night it did. I totally threw up and sweet Jon was there to hold my hair and give me Kleenex and water. hahahaha Well my head and neck are a little better today but I still have the nausea.
(I am sure when I print this up later on and read it I will get a good laugh or just feel plain stupid...we'll see:))

Christmas time is here!

First thing first. Last week was a sad week for me (Sarah). For those who know me, I love "I Love Lucy". I have a yellow license plate on the front of my car that says "Vita Girl", I absolutely love it! But here in freakin Utah you have to have their state plate on the front and the back. So I had to take of Lucy and put up a Utah plate. Yes, I know, it's very sad.

Next, since it is kinda chilly up here I made a wool scarf! it is gray and dark orange. I am in the process of making a dark orange hat to go with it.

We put up our Christmas tree, like always, the weekend after Thanksgiving. This year Chris helped me do most of it. When we were moving up here I threw away our old tree ornaments so Chris helped me pick out some new ones. I think he did a very good job. Chris picked out the star as well. But Jon wasn't paying attention to what he was plugging it into and he plugged our laptop charger into it and burnt like 90% of the lights in the star so Jon went and bought another star, which is the one in the picture.

Some great news!! Jacob is finally home in Colorado with his family. I can't wait for winter to be over because they are only 6 hours away so I can drive and see them! That is it for now. Enjoy the pictures:)

Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow

What more can I say! snow snow snow snow. You know that I love snow! I love walking and playing and looking at it. I do not, however, like driving in it! We totally got dumped on! It is very gorgeous but we had to run some errands and had to drive. So Jon shoveled and I cleared off my car. We drove around the corner, almost getting stuck , to Jon's parents' house. We tried to drive up their driveway, which had not been shoveled at all, and we made it about a quarter of the way and then got stuck and started going back down. So we parked on the sidewalk area and Jon and his brother shoveled around the car and up the driveway. Jon then made me pull the car up, which was scary, but I did it. I have a fear of sliding the car on some ice or getting stuck by myself. Jon and his brother wanted to take me to a parking lot and practice spinning the car on the ice and learning how to control the car. I said no way. Well as the day went on I was thinking to myself that maybe it would be a good idea. So on the way home tonight I was driving and we pulled into the high school parking lot and I drove like crazy and Jon would pull up the emergency brake and I practiced steering the car. It was actually kind of fun:) The good thing is that I feel more confident driving to my work and around town by myself.
